Canadians from coast to coast have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the new Acadia with its overhauled redesign. It begs the question, what’s new? The answer is quite simple, just about everything!
Beginning with the exterior dimensions the new Acadia 2024 will bring back memories of the first-generation model as a larger three-row crossover; increasing the wheelbase +8.9”, overall length +10.6”, overall width 4.2”, and overall height +4.3” to be exact. Throw the hockey bags in the back of your new Acadia with ease as it now boasts +80% more cargo room behind the third row!
With the the expanded cargo volume increasing nearly 24% in the GMC Acadia 2024, get ready to enjoy the ride with more room in the cabin for family, friends, pets and cargo.
There will be three trim levels offered on the GMC Acadia 2024:
- Base Acadia Elevation
- Off-road Acadia AT4
- Top of the line Acadia Denali
The Largest, most Capable and Luxurious SUV of its Kind.
All four trim levels will house the ever-capable new Turbocharged 2.5L I4 LKO engine, cranking out 328 hp and 326 lb ft torque directed through the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. All wheel drive is offered as optional on the Elevation and Denali trims. The 2024 Acadia AT4 will boast a uniquely equipped Active Torque Control AWD system with twin-clutch rear differentials as standard to conquer any adventure.
The new Acadia will provide comfortable seating for seven or eight passengers, depending on the configuration, and now returns back to its grassroots in the full-size SUV segment.
Ok so it’s bigger, faster, and more capable; but what about the interior and technological advancements?
To start, the redesigned GMC Acadia 2024 roars into the market with a jaw-dropping 15” diagonal infotainment screen mounted in a portrait style layout in the centre of the dash, paired with an 11” diagonal driver information centre behind the steering wheel. Key technology notables include the industry leading Google-Built-In infotainment system along with nine available high-definition camera views, and available semi-autonomous driver assist system GM Super Cruise with trailering assist and automatic lane-change capability *( AT4, and Denali trim levels). Even the standard safety technology is a game-changer with features like forward collision alert, following distance indicator, and rear park assist included throughout the lineup to ensure you get to your destination safely.
