How to Turn On Google Built-In Voice Command

Are you having trouble getting your Google Built-In Voice Command to work?  The answer maybe that the feature has been disabled in the stereo settings.

Here is  step by step to get the Google Voice Command to turn on.

  1. Press the “Settings” icon on the stereo screen.
  2. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list that appears.
  3. Scroll down to “Say Hey Google” and turn the tab back on- it should now appear green as in the image below and should turn on your Google Built-In Voice Command.
  4. Hit the home button to get back to the main screen.
  5. Test by saying “Hey Google” you should hear a chime, then say a command like “What is the weather like in Lethbridge Alberta today? ” Google should then give you a forecast, if it doesn’t, the system may require a paid subscription to enable the feature; please contact OnStar for more information by pressing your Blue Onstar button, or by calling 1-888-466-7827.
